Megan Barton, N.P.
Megan Barton graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Program in Little Rock, Arkansas with her Masters in Nursing Science, specializing in family care.
Megan’s previous work experience includes serving as a Community Health Family Planning Nurse Practitioner in Washington State and as a Same Day Surgery and Recovery Room Nurse for over ten years.
Megan relocated from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas to the Columbia River Gorge in 2008 to be near the fantastic four-season recreational opportunities and the beauty of this area.
She lives in Hood River with her husband and three children.
Steve Becker, M.D.
Steve began his medical career in Alaska before moving to Hood River in 1989 with his family. He is gratified to be able to bring his experience and wide variety of medical skills to CGFM.
He has two grown children and spends his empty nest time with his wife, Ann. When not practicing medicine, he likes running, and has participated in marathons all across the country as well as 20 consecutive Hood-to-Coast relays. He also enjoys fishing and floating the whitewater rivers of Oregon.
Peter Benziger, M.D.
Peter grew up in a small town in Maine. He completed medical school at Tufts University in Boston and moved to the Northwest for his family medicine residency. Peter graduated in 2016 from the first class of the Providence Hood River Rural Family Medicine Program. Peter feels incredibly lucky that he has had the opportunity to train in Hood River to find his dream job as a rural family medicine doctor. Peter has an interest in obstetrics and hospital medicine.
Peter is living on a peach orchard with his brother and enjoys mountain biking and float trips in his free time.
Clara DeLeon, P.A.
Clara is a native Oregonian and has lived in the Pacific Northwest all her life. She attended the University of Washington, where she received her degree in 1996 as a Physician’s Assistant.
Clara has lived in Mosier almost all of her life, and has been with the clinic for over 15 years.
She has grown children, and enjoys gardening in her free time.
Ingrid Flanders, N.P.
Ingrid, born and raised in rural Northern Michigan, moved to The Gorge in 1989.
Ingrid enjoys the opportunities of family medicine, working with and getting to know people of all ages.
She can often be found outside gardening, hiking, biking, and running. In addition to her clinical practice, Ingrid teaches nursing education at Linfield College in Portland. She has three grown children.
Elizabeth Foster, M.D.
Elizabeth and her family moved to Hood River in 2008. She grew up in Colorado and worked as an international economist before attending medical school at the University of California San Francisco.
She enjoys working with families in the clinic and in the hospital.
She has three daughters and enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle.
Tony Gay, M.D
Tony was born in The Dalles, Oregon, and has always considered The Gorge his home. He lives with his wife on a small orchard and has three grown children.
He has worked at CGFM since 1991. When he’s not in the office or driving a tractor, he enjoys gardening, running, and almost anything but sitting still.
Tyler Gray, M.D.
Tyler joined Columbia Gorge Family Medicine in the summer of 2012 after completing his family medicine training through the residency program in Milwaukie, Oregon.
Tyler chose Hood River because he has always had an interest in rural medicine and full-spectrum family medicine.
He had an incredible experience working out here as a resident and can think of no better place to live, work, and play.
David MacNally, P.A.
David’s first indoctrination to medicine was in the Army after being trained as an Army medic in the early 70s He then pursued his interest by becoming an EMT and worked for 15+ years as a full-time ski patroller in Alta, Utah.
He continued to pursue his interest in medicine and was accepted into the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Utah MEDEX program. He completed his training 20 some years ago and has been treating, counseling, and caring for families locally for the last 20 years here in The Gorge.
He lives nearby in White Salmon with his wife and two children.
Jessica Porter, M.D.
Jessica grew up in rural northeastern California before completing medical school and residency at the University of California, Davis.
She spent the first years of her practice in Juneau, Alaska, before deciding she needed more sun and made the move to Hood River. She particularly enjoys obstetrics and pediatric care.
In her free time, she likes to ski, hike, and travel.
Matt Sperry, M.D.
Matt is a native Oregonian who realized early on that he never wanted to leave the Northwest. He had a prior life working as a wilderness educator before going to medical school.
He completed his family medicine residency training at the Providence Hood River Family Medicine Rural Training Program and was thrilled at the opportunity to continue his career in the Gorge. He particularly enjoys seeing families of all ages, obstetrics (particularly ultrasound) and hospital medicine
When not seeing patients, Matt can be found skiing, mountain biking or renovating his house with his wife.
